Gokurakugai: Trouble on Third Avenue

In Gokurakugai, a neon-lit red light district where vice and desperation share the same crowded streets, Sister Tao and Al earn their keep as troubleshooters—independent odd-jobbers who take on nearly any task, provided the client can pay. Working beneath the district's glowing signs and along its shadowy alleyways, the duo handles whatever business comes their way, scraping by on the fringes of a neighborhood where legitimate authority carries little weight and money does all the talking. For Tao and Al, this is simply how life goes: stay useful, stay sharp, and accept the job when the price is right. Their routine is rough, unglamorous, and entirely their own—until the day a little girl makes a grab for Al's pocket. What appears to be a petty theft at first glance hints at something far larger, an ordinary moment threatening to drag the two troubleshooters headlong into the hidden troubles festering at the heart of Gokurakugai.
