Watashi no Maou-sama

Watashi no Maou-sama is a standalone one-shot that follows the heartfelt desire of a young girl who longs to be whisked away from her everyday life. Rather than dreaming of a traditional hero or prince, she places her hopes entirely on a Demon Lord, believing that only such a powerful and otherworldly figure can offer her the escape she so desperately craves. The narrative centers on this singular, poignant wish, exploring the quiet yearning of a protagonist who feels disconnected from the ordinary world around her. In her eyes, the fearsome reputation of a Demon Lord represents not danger, but salvation—a chance to leave behind her current reality and step into something extraordinary. This brief yet evocative story captures the essence of her longing, presenting a unique twist on the classic fantasy trope by framing a traditionally dark figure as an object of hope and deliverance.
