The Demon-Slaying Graduate

Long ago, humanity fled the northern wastelands and raised colossal walls that pierced the very clouds, sealing beyond them the dangers that had preyed upon their ancestors for a thousand years. From that day forward, the world knew peace—until one day, a vast fog crept over the walls and descended upon humanity's cities. As the horrors lurking within the mist gradually emerged, humankind once again recalled the terror of living under the dominion of the great demons. The descent of the great demons—this is the worst of eras. The dawn of the martial age—this is the best of eras. Blade in hand, Chen Yang stands atop the towering city wall, his gaze fixed upon the dangers stirring within the fog. "Who are you?" a voice asks from the mist.
