In the minds of Japanese people, tanukis are mysterious animals. They can use a kind of illusion similar to blindfolding. Their bodies can change into any shape, or they can turn leaves into money or something to deceive humans. In "The Variety of Tanuki", a group of tanukis living near Tokyo want to use this illusion to scare humans and put the community construction project on hold. Unfortunately, due to various internal and external reasons, the ending is quite helpless. The story is about a group of raccoons living in the forests of the Tama Hills in Tokyo.
