That summer, the heat was so oppressive that even drawing a breath felt like a struggle. An Kyungsoo’s air conditioner had been broken for a long time, so his landlord sent him a replacement: a humanoid air conditioner—the latest overseas sensation—modeled after a strikingly handsome male. The moment Kyungsoo turned it on, the cool air was so refreshing that he ended up hugging it, though something about the situation felt oddly unsettling. While clinging to this temporary stand-in for his broken AC, he accidentally pressed a button located in a certain "place," and the unit’s eyes fluttered open. It turned out that this humanoid possessed not only a perfect face but also a warm personality and a gentle voice. This seemingly flawless air conditioner’s excessive friendliness gradually extended to physical affection, and before long, it began to ease the sexual frustration that the sweltering heat had long kept bottled up inside him.
