When Chung-A’s parents vanished without warning, claiming they had to pursue her treacherous uncle, she was left to fend for herself in an empty house. The uncle she had always trusted had not only swindled her out of everything—he had also made off with a massive sum belonging to the Millennium Adventist, the most powerful cult in the autonomous district. In an instant, Chung-A’s world crumbled, leaving her alone and vulnerable, with no one to turn to and only the hollow walls of her family home for company. But her solitude proves short-lived when Yohan, the son of the cult’s formidable leader, appears at her doorstep—luggage in hand and no intention of leaving. It turns out her uncle’s deception entangled both their families, and now Yohan has been sent to monitor the situation from the closest possible vantage point: her own house. What begins as an uneasy arrangement quickly becomes a tense, unpredictable cohabitation, as Chung-A finds herself sharing her space with a man whose dangerous connections and mysterious motives make him as much a threat as a reluctant ally. With her parents still missing and the cult’s eyes fixed on her every move, she must navigate a web of trust, survival, and secrets—all while wondering if this forced alliance will protect her or pull her deeper into the abyss.
