Yaseppochi to Futoccho

Julia has known little in her young life beyond hunger and hardship. An orphan with no home and no family, she scrapes by on the streets, her only companion a faithful dog named Alex. Each day is a quiet struggle to survive, with nothing to look forward to but another empty stomach and another lonely night. Then one ordinary day, everything changes. A chubby little boy named Dan approaches her and, with the blunt innocence only a child can manage, makes her a simple offer: "Come with me, I'll feed ya." No questions asked, no strings attached—just an open-handed kindness that cuts straight through the coldness of Julia's world and gives her something she has never had before: a reason to follow. From that moment on, Julia and Alex begin an entirely new life under the same roof as Dan and his father, pitching in at the family restaurant where warm meals are always close at hand. What starts as a chance encounter born of empty stomachs slowly blossoms into something far greater—a place at the table, a roof to sleep under, and the gentle discovery that family is not always something you're born into, but something you find.
