The Mentor and New Employee Who Gradually Change Each Other

First serialized as daily updates on Twitter and now gathered into a single collected volume, The Mentor and New Employee Who Gradually Change Each Other is a workplace story built on a wonderfully relatable premise: an employee placed in charge of training a brand-new hire, and the quiet transformations that unfold between them. As the two spend their days together navigating the routines and small surprises of company life, neither walks away unchanged—through countless minor exchanges and shared moments, each leaves an impression on the other, and both mentor and newcomer gradually grow, little by little, into slightly different versions of themselves. Rather than following a traditional comic layout, the series is presented in a format closer to single illustrations with accompanying dialogue—a style that developed naturally from its daily social media serialization. This gives each entry a light, snapshot-like quality, letting readers savor the pair's evolving dynamic one small scene at a time. The result is an easygoing, heartwarming read that captures how everyday interactions, however unremarkable they may seem in the moment, can slowly shape who we are—making this collection a gentle treat for fans of workplace slice-of-life storytelling.
