Through the eyes of police force member Susono Musubi, NOiSE offers a glimpse of a world before the Netsphere's collapse, chronicling the events that led to the technologically advanced society's downfall. The story unfolds with the emergence of the Megastructure, the proliferation of parasitic Silicon Creatures, and the introduction of the ruthless killing machines known as the Safeguards. Meanwhile, the compilation also includes BLAME!, Tsutomu Nihei's debut work, which served as a prototype for the acclaimed 10-volume series, providing insight into the origins of the world that BLAME! inhabits.
