On My First Day at the Police Station, I Ate the Police Beauty's Imported Candy

Criminal investigation legend Jiang Yang finds himself back in the year 2008. In this era, DNA technology has only just come into use, and local precincts must wait in line just to submit evidence for testing. The Skynet surveillance network has yet to be rolled out—cameras are a rare sight on the streets. The fingerprint database remains incomplete, and cross-province comparisons rely almost entirely on officers manually flipping through cards, with pitifully low match rates. As for the sophisticated techniques of later years—footprint profiling, video investigation, big data case-linking, bloodstain pattern reconstruction, psychological profiling—only their earliest traces exist, and most detectives of this generation have never even heard of them. But Jiang Yang has mastered them all. Determined to drive the advancement of criminal investigation forward, he declares war on criminals and evildoers alike—so that no tragedy will ever repeat itself, and no regret will be left behind. And it all begins on his very first day of duty, when Jiang Yang crosses paths with the precinct's beautiful policewoman.
