So how is he supposed to survive? The answer is simple: who says worship has to come from sermons and blood sacrifices? Spreading culture works just as well. And so it begins. When the Pope of the Holy Light Church meets him, his first reaction is not to purify a heretic, but to demand the next update of Sherlock. Vampire hunters proclaim that "heretics deserve death," yet every night they fill the theater seats, binge-watching The Dark Knight Trilogy back to back. Even the Emperor of the neighboring Wilson Empire can be found in Zod's shop, frantically pulling gacha and splurging money for a single limited-edition card. Short films, cinema, games, serialized updates, gacha pulls, pop trends, and the internet—each one is a channel through which Zod harvests worship and grows ever stronger. Then, at last, when the entire world finds itself standing before a newly awakened Old God, everyone believes an extinction-level catastrophe has arrived. Yet the ancient being slowly speaks: "You've misunderstood. I only wanted to ask one thing—when do I get to enter the hero pool of League of Legends?" The reply: "Oh, please take a number and wait in line. Number 1145."
