The Sano household is a portrait of flawless domestic bliss. Minori, their only daughter, basks in the warmth of a family that seems to have it all—a loving father, a devoted mother, and a home filled with laughter. But this idyllic veneer shatters one ordinary afternoon when Minori, having cheerfully dashed back home to retrieve a forgotten item, stumbles upon a burglar ransacking the house. In a panic, she retreats to the balcony, but the confrontation takes a terrifying turn when she loses her footing and falls. In a surreal twist of fate, Minori awakens not in a hospital bed, but trapped inside the very body of the thief who invaded her home. To her utter horror, she realizes the criminal is now living her life, inhabiting her own skin. Forced into this precarious and absurd predicament, the two must navigate a bizarre new reality. The thief, now playing the part of the perfect daughter, and Minori, confined to the body of a wanted criminal, must somehow keep up the charade. What follows is a deeply disturbing yet strangely heartwarming comedy of errors. The formerly peaceful Sano household becomes a stage for a chaotic four-person performance, as father, mother, daughter, and criminal are bound together in an uneasy, unspoken alliance. They must maintain the illusion of normalcy while desperately searching for a way to reverse the swap, all while the thief's new life forces him to confront the very family he once sought to victimize.
