20th Century Boys

Humanity has narrowly escaped extinction at the end of the 20th century, and its people have entered the new millennium with a newfound sense of purpose. However, a sense of unease settles in as a series of bizarre events and unexplained deaths start to unfold in 1997. A symbol, created by a group of boys in 1969, seems to be the catalyst for these events. As Kenji, a former rock 'n' roll musician turned convenience store manager, searches for answers, he reunites with his old friends to uncover the truth behind a string of murders and disappearances. Their investigation leads them to a mysterious cult with a sinister presence lurking in the shadows.
