Furyou Shounen ni Meshi wo Kuwasu

At twenty-seven, Yuri Moriyama seemed to have mastered the art of a balanced life. By day, she was a sharp, reliable sales representative, closing deals with precision. By night, she found her solace in the kitchen, lovingly preparing home-cooked meals for the man she had spent five years expecting to marry. Her engagement felt like the solid ground beneath her feet—until that ground gave way without warning. Her fiancé confessed to an affair with a younger colleague, one that had resulted in a pregnancy, and ended their relationship with cold finality. Suddenly, the future Yuri had so carefully built evaporated, leaving her adrift in a city that no longer felt like home. It was in the midst of this quiet devastation that she crossed paths with Shoa, a disheveled, half-starved boy who seemed to exist on the margins of the world. With no family to claim him and no friends to rely on, his hunger was both literal and profound. What began as a simple, impulsive offer of food soon became an anchor for them both. For Yuri, cooking for Shoa rekindled a sense of purpose that her broken engagement had stolen; for Shoa, her warmth and kindness offered something he had long forgotten. As they share meals in the small sanctuary of her apartment, an unconventional bond grows between them—neither romance nor obligation, but something more fragile and honest. Through steaming bowls of rice and carefully prepared dishes, they begin to heal the lonely edges of each other's lives, discovering that family is not always a matter of blood, but of those who choose to sit at your table.
