The Mage of the West

Sent off by his family with proud declarations that their household would finally produce a mage, Ieos arrives at the academy only to be met with a devastatingly exorbitant tuition bill. With no other way to cover the crushing costs, he is forced to register as an adventurer. Accepting a commission directly from the academy, he joins a party of seasoned veterans and ventures deep into a dense jungle, where they are suddenly ambushed by ferocious monsters. Having never been able to afford even basic training ground fees, Ieos has spent years refining intermediate spells entirely within his own mind. When he finally unleashes one of these meticulously crafted techniques in the heat of battle, its overwhelming destructive power defies all logic, incinerating both the monstrous threat and the surrounding forest in a single catastrophic blast. This is the epic adventure of a hardworking, impoverished mage who has honed his knowledge and magical energy to absolute perfection, walking a path fraught with ancient truths and relentless warfare.
