Boku no Tonari ni Ankoku Hakaishin ga Imasu

Seri Koyuki, a high school student, tries to avoid strange people because he knows he will inevitably become the straight man to their antics. His resolve is put to the test by Kabuto Hanadori, a classmate who suffers from chūnibyō, or second-year middle school syndrome. Hanadori claims that the eyepatch he wears seals his god of destruction alter ego, and everything about him practically demands a straight man to keep him in check. Despite Koyuki’s efforts to stay away from such complications, he finds himself drawn into Hanadori’s orbit. The story follows their comedic dynamic as Koyuki’s wish to avoid eccentricity collides with Hanadori’s grandiose delusions. What unfolds is a humorous conflict between an ordinary student trying to keep his distance and a classmate whose imagination refuses to be ignored.
