Isle of Dogs

Adapted from Wes Anderson’s acclaimed film, Isle of Dogs follows the harrowing journey of twelve-year-old Atari Kobayashi, the young ward of Megasaki City’s corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When the mayor issues a ruthless executive decree banishing every canine resident to a sprawling garbage dump known as Trash Island, Atari refuses to abandon his loyal bodyguard dog, Spots. Piloting a miniature Junior Turbo Prop entirely on his own, the determined boy crosses the river to reach the desolate wasteland where the exiled animals have been left to fend for themselves. Upon arriving at the towering refuse heaps, Atari is not alone for long. He quickly earns the trust and assistance of a rugged pack of newly discovered mongrel dogs who roam the island. Together, this unlikely alliance embarks on an epic and perilous journey across the treacherous landscape. What begins as a desperate search for a beloved pet soon escalates into a defining struggle, one that will ultimately determine the fate and future of the entire prefecture.
