Komugi Shirai leads a disciplined, early-morning life, waking up at 4:30 AM every day to help out at her sister’s bakery. Her quiet routine is constantly contrasted by the lifestyle of her neighbor, Kirato. To Komugi, he appears to be nothing more than a philandering musician whose late-night habits often bring him stumbling home just as she is starting her demanding workday. Their worlds seem entirely separate, defined only by their brief, passing encounters between his nocturnal returns and her early mornings. However, the boundary between their lives unexpectedly blurs when Komugi decides to step out for a night of her own. She visits a local club with the intention of supporting her best friend, who is performing there with a band. Instead of simply watching from the crowd as planned, Komugi finds herself standing directly in front of Kirato’s band. This surprising encounter forces her to see her seemingly irresponsible neighbor in an entirely new light, setting the stage for an unexpected connection that bridges their contrasting daily routines.
