In a world where enigmatic spiritual entities known as ayakashi exist alongside humanity, a young girl named Yoshino finds an unconventional home. Abandoned at a local shrine during her childhood, she is taken in and raised by a lively group of these supernatural beings. Far from a quiet sanctuary, the shrine buzzes with eccentric daily antics, ranging from territorial squabbles among cursed dolls to the unlikely sight of a ghost diligently training to master the art of the ninja. Under their watchful eyes, Yoshino’s upbringing is filled with warmth, humor, and endless surprises. However, as Yoshino grows older and sets her sights on becoming the shrine’s next official priestess, she must confront a sobering reality. The spiritual realm is not populated solely by her playful, well-meaning caretakers; far more dangerous ayakashi lurk beyond the shrine's protective boundaries.
