The grim, sprawling universe of the acclaimed video game Elden Ring is completely reimagined in this delightfully absurd comedic adventure. Set against the foreboding backdrop of the Lands Between, the story follows Aseo, a profoundly underwhelming Tarnished who has been thrust into an epic quest. His ultimate objective is to traverse the realm and claim the title of Elden Lord, though the path ahead promises to be agonizingly long and fraught with ridiculous misadventures rather than heroic triumphs. Aseo is a protagonist defined entirely by his shortcomings. He embarks on his journey lacking any discernible strength, speed, intelligence, or charisma. To make matters worse, he possesses absolutely no combat skill, practical experience, sharp intuition, or basic common sense. Where other warriors might rely on extraordinary talents to survive the perilous challenges of this dark fantasy world, Aseo has nothing of the sort to offer. As he stumbles forward on his seemingly endless road toward the Erdtree, readers are left to wonder what, if anything, this hopelessly inept adventurer could possibly bring to the table to compensate for his staggering list of deficiencies.
