Yami no Matsuei

In the afterlife, death is merely a formality, with paperwork and bureaucracy awaiting the deceased. Tsuzuki Asato, a 26-year-old shinigami, has been fulfilling this task for over 70 years, yet finds himself in the worst division, plagued by poor working conditions and meager pay. Partnered with the intelligent and feisty 16-year-old Kurosaki Hisoka, a mismatched duo forms, with Tsuzuki's carefree demeanor contrasting sharply with Hisoka's serious and defensive nature. As they investigate various cases, they unravel the mysteries surrounding the serial killer Dr. Muraki Kazutaka, while Tsuzuki's complicated past continues to haunt him, threatening to disrupt the fragile peace he has found with Hisoka.
