Thirty-year-old Tomoko Hanno, affectionately known as Panko, navigates a daily life defined by quiet endurance. At her workplace, she is constantly subjected to unwanted advances from her boss while simultaneously bearing the brunt of tasks unfairly delegated by her colleagues. Lacking the confidence to assert herself or set boundaries, Panko finds herself trapped in a cycle of passivity, struggling to voice her own needs amid an environment that routinely takes advantage of her gentle disposition. Her routine takes an unexpected turn when her aging, rusted bicycle finally breaks down, leading her to a local neighborhood repair shop. There, she encounters Ryohel Takahashi, the mechanic who takes charge of fixing her ride. Though his personality can occasionally lean toward the overbearing side, Takahashi possesses an underlying thoughtfulness that Panko cannot ignore. As she begins to lean on his dependable and considerate nature, the walls she has built around herself start to soften. Through this unlikely connection forged over a simple broken bicycle, Panko’s once stagnant world gradually begins to shift, offering her a new perspective and the quiet strength she never knew she needed.
