Zashikiwarashi are elusive spirits traditionally known to inhabit the storage rooms of old homes, where they spend their time pulling harmless pranks on the living. According to legend, anyone fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of these mischievous entities is destined to be blessed with extraordinary good luck. In this story, these invisible occupants have taken up residence in the cramped, inexpensive apartment of a young woman named Sui, turning her otherwise ordinary daily life into something far more unpredictable. The narrative takes a dramatic turn when a forbidden room within the apartment becomes the site of a shocking and unexpected encounter. As the mysteries surrounding her living situation deepen, Sui finds herself entangled in highly suspicious circumstances that defy normal explanation. Complicating matters further is the arrival of a deeply troubled man whose very existence seems saturated with misery.
