Despite possessing striking good looks, high school student Yuzuru remains deeply isolated from his peers. His withdrawn and guarded nature prevents him from forming meaningful connections, leaving him without friends in the classroom. This solitude is not a matter of preference but of necessity; the moment classes end each day, he hurries straight home to shoulder the heavy responsibility of caring for his chronically ill older brother. His daily existence is defined by this quiet, exhausting routine, leaving no room for the typical experiences of youth. Everything shifts when Yuzuru unexpectedly reunites with Kotarou, a childhood friend he has not seen in many years. Unlike the reserved Yuzuru, Kotarou is naturally warm, outgoing, and effortlessly sociable. Unfazed by Yuzuru’s persistent protests and defensive demeanor, Kotarou readily invites him to spend time together and join his circle of friends after school. This sudden intrusion of warmth into Yuzuru's rigidly structured life forces a difficult internal conflict. Torn between his unwavering sense of duty toward his sick brother and the genuine companionship Kotarou offers, Yuzuru must ultimately decide whether to push away this reaching hand or finally allow himself to accept it.
