Hikaru ga Chikyuu ni Ita koro......

High school student Koremitsu Akagi cannot explain why he has come to the funeral of Hikaru Mikado, a classmate who died in an accident during Golden Week. The two barely knew each other, having exchanged only a handful of words at school. Yet as Koremitsu stands among the mourners, he discovers that Hikaru’s presence lingers. Returning to the world of the living as a ghost, Hikaru reveals that he has unfinished business: a promise left unfulfilled to his fiancée, Aoi Saotome. Because Koremitsu is the sole person capable of seeing his spirit, Hikaru begs him to act on his behalf and honor the commitment he can no longer keep. Reluctantly agreeing to the request, Koremitsu soon learns that Aoi is not the only one waiting for closure. He finds himself tasked with delivering on Hikaru’s promises to several other young women the late boy considered his girlfriends. As Koremitsu navigates these delicate relationships, he works to mend fractured bonds and clear up lingering misunderstandings left in the wake of Hikaru’s sudden passing. However, a deeper unease shadows his efforts. The circumstances surrounding Hikaru’s death are far from straightforward, leaving Koremitsu to question whether the tragedy was truly an accident or something far more sinister.
