Persona 2: Tsumi To Batsu

Kazumi believed he shared a deep, decade-long friendship with a boy named Rihito. However, while the two are searching town for masks to wear at their school’s upcoming masquerade ball, Rihito suddenly vanishes without a trace. Desperate to find him, Kazumi abandons his studies and begins a relentless search that soon pulls him into an entirely unfamiliar world. His investigation leads him to an abandoned factory rumored to be haunted, where he comes face-to-face with a terrifying group of demons. After narrowly escaping, he finally locates Rihito a week after his disappearance. Though physically unharmed, his longtime friend has undergone a drastic shift in personality. Now acting as a leader among strangers, Rihito is shocked that Kazumi can perceive the demons and coldly confesses that he has always hated him. Before a devastated Kazumi can process this betrayal, the demons launch another attack. In a moment of crisis, a mysterious creature erupts from within Kazumi’s own body and swiftly destroys the monsters. This awakening thrusts him into a hidden side of his city—a place where demons roam and individuals possessing special powers can summon fighting entities known as Personae. Guided by three secretive Persona users living within the factory, Kazumi must navigate this dangerous new reality.
