The Fable: The Second Contact

Taking place approximately one year after the conclusion of the original story, The Fable: The Second Contact follows the lives of Akira and Youko as they navigate an increasingly unpredictable world. While engaged in their latest assignment, the sudden outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic forces them to abruptly abandon the mission. With no other viable options available, the two operatives retreat to Osaka, determined to resume the quiet, unassuming existence they have worked so hard to maintain as ordinary civilians. However, the tranquility they seek proves to be fleeting. Settling back into their daily routines under the guise of regular citizens, Akira and Youko soon discover that the peaceful life they envisioned is far more fragile than anticipated. As unforeseen complications begin to surface, the carefully constructed facade of their civilian identities faces mounting pressure. What was meant to be a period of calm and normalcy quickly gives way to new challenges, threatening to draw them back into the dangerous world they had hoped to leave behind.
