Minami, a quiet rural town situated at the end of the railway line, was once celebrated for its thriving hot springs. Those days, however, have long since faded into memory. Everything changes when Satoko, a local woman born and raised in the town, stumbles upon an unexpected discovery while walking her dog: a brand-new hot spring bubbling up from the earth. The excitement is short-lived, though, as she quickly realizes the spring has surfaced on a construction site that technically belongs to the neighboring city of Kita. This sparks a fierce territorial dispute over rightful ownership—does the newly found spring belong to Satoko as its discoverer and to Minami by association, or does it fall under the jurisdiction of Kita as the legal landowner? To settle the conflict, both towns agree to an unconventional but decisive resolution: a curling match. As the one who unearthed the spring, Satoko is appointed captain of the Minami team. She and her friends are fiercely determined to defend their town's claim and restore Minami’s former glory, yet they face a daunting obstacle—they know absolutely nothing about the sport of curling. Armed with sheer willpower but lacking any real technique, this unlikely squad must master the ice and defeat their rivals from Kita to bring prosperity back to their beloved hometown.
