Nagisa Misumi and Honoka Yukishiro, two students from different walks of life, are brought together by a shower of shooting stars that brings refugees Mipple and Mepple from the Garden of Light, recently conquered by Darkness. Empowered with new powers, they become Cure Black and Cure White, assuming the roles of magical defenders of the light as Pretty Cure, working together to protect their world from the forces of darkness.
