Witches

During a journey to the capital of a small nation on the far western edge of Asia, a British woman named Nicola experiences an overwhelming infatuation. Her heart becomes entirely captivated by Mimar, a young man working at a local bazaar. Yet, despite her persistent efforts to capture his attention, he remains completely oblivious to her existence and feelings. Upon returning to England, the sting of this unrequited devotion slowly curdles into something far darker. Over the course of several years, Nicola dedicates herself to accumulating immense wealth, widespread fame, and forbidden knowledge—ultimately uncovering the very secret of the world itself. Armed with this newfound power, she travels back to the distant bazaar, no longer seeking affection but intent on delivering a deadly vengeance upon Mimar and everyone he holds dear. Nicola’s harrowing tale of obsession and retribution is merely one entry in this striking anthology. The collection weaves together a diverse tapestry of narratives centered around witchcraft, transporting readers through mystical encounters spanning the globe and venturing even into the cold, distant reaches of outer space.
