Kyuusen no Shima

Following the sudden passing of his mother, Yuuma is called back to the remote island he once called home. The wealthy and influential Nuenaki family has gathered, and they present him with an unexpected proposal: he is to assume the role of their next patriarch. Despite the prestige and power that come with leading such a prominent household, Yuuma harbors deep reservations about the offer. Unwilling to shoulder the burdens of the family’s legacy, he firmly declines their request, hoping to distance himself from the island's complex affairs. However, his plans for a swift departure are abruptly shattered when tragedy strikes again. Barely a day after his return, the current head of the Nuenaki family dies under unforeseen circumstances. This shocking event plunges the household into turmoil and leaves a dangerous power vacuum in its wake. With no other viable candidates and the family teetering on the edge of chaos, Yuuma finds his initial refusal rendered meaningless. Stripped of any opportunity to walk away, he is forced to step into the role he so desperately wished to avoid, drawing him deeply into the dark and complicated web surrounding the Nuenaki estate.
