Lemonade

For as long as she can remember, Youko has lived under the overwhelming shadow of her older sister, Aiko. This lifelong comparison has left her with a deep-seated insecurity, making the transition into middle school particularly difficult. Her frustration only intensifies when the school’s tennis club attempts to recruit her and her best friend, Maki, not for their own potential, but simply because Youko is known as “Aiko-senpai’s younger sister.” To make matters worse, Youko immediately takes a disliking to Keita, the club’s leader. However, she is caught off guard when Maki reveals a genuine enthusiasm for joining the team, driven largely by a growing romantic interest in Keita himself. This unexpected revelation stirs unfamiliar feelings of jealousy within Youko, emotions she struggles to understand or control. As these unspoken resentments begin to surface, the close bond between the two friends faces its greatest test, threatening to fracture their relationship just as their middle school journey begins.
