Sakura Sakura

Fifteen years ago, Japan experienced a drastic and unprecedented decline in its birth rate. The rare children born during this period became known as the "LastGen," a generation defined by their scarcity and isolation. Among them is fifteen-year-old Hanasaka Haru, who has grown up entirely without peers, never having had the opportunity to meet or interact with a single classmate. For Haru, the prospect of finally attending school represents the fulfillment of a lifelong dream—a chance to experience the ordinary, vibrant youth he has only ever imagined. When his first day of school finally arrives, Haru eagerly anticipates the idealized student life he has long envisioned. It is there that he crosses paths with Himeshiro Sakurako, his very first classmate. However, reality quickly diverges from his expectations. Sakurako proves to be far from the perfect companion he had fantasized about, and her presence disrupts his carefully constructed hopes. As Haru navigates this unfamiliar social landscape, he soon realizes that the school life he dreamed of may not unfold the way he intended, forcing him to confront a reality far more complicated than he ever anticipated.
