Blade & Bastard: Hai wa Atatakaku, Meikyuu wa Honogurai

In the uncharted depths of a sprawling dungeon, an impossible discovery is made: a corpse that should not exist. Resurrected without any memory of his former life, Iarumas now survives by descending into the darkness to recover the fallen bodies of adventurers. He brings them back to the altar, never knowing whether divine intervention will restore them to life or reduce them to ash. Regardless of the outcome, he collects his finder’s fee. This cold, pragmatic approach earns him grudging respect among certain circles, yet the living largely shun him for his detachment. As a result, Iarumas spends his days in the company of the dead rather than the living. His solitary existence shifts when he encounters Garbage, a feral young swordswoman who stands as the sole survivor of her slaughtered party. Bound together by circumstance, they begin to navigate the treacherous labyrinth side by side. With Garbage at his side, Iarumas pushes deeper into the dungeon’s most dangerous reaches, searching for fragments of his forgotten past while evading deadly monsters, hidden traps, and the ever-present threat of a final, irreversible death upon the altar.
