"Saint Seiya" (Japanese: Saint Seiya, English: Saint Seiya or Knights of the Zodiac), referred to as Saint Seiya, is the representative work of Japanese cartoonist Masami Kurumada. It began to be serialized in Shueisha's "Weekly Shonen Jump" in December 1985, until the final chapter was published in "V Jump" in November 1990. The manga was very popular and was later followed by animations and novels. The inspiration for creating this work: came from an online information called "Meteor Swarm in the Constellation Leo". Kurumada Masami saw a meteor falling from the sky, which inspired the concept of Saint Seiya. Originally, the protagonist Seiya wanted to use the constellation Leo, but after several adjustments, he finally decided to use the constellation Pegasus. Because it is more appropriate to take the meaning of "unconstrained". As for the original meaning of "Leon Meteor Swarm", it still remains in Seiya's special skills. Seiya's name comes from the sacred arrow, the Holy Arrow.
