Akane is whisked away to the land of Kyou, where she learns that she is the Ryuujin no Miko, a mystical figure with a vital role to play in maintaining balance and order in the land. With the guidance of the Hachiyou, a group of skilled protectors, Akane must embark on a perilous quest to defeat Akuram, a malevolent demon that seeks to exploit the power of Azusa, a woman with the ability to absorb human energy. As Akane and the Hachiyou confront Akuram, they must prevent Azusa's power from destroying the human inhabitants of Kyou, ensuring the survival of the land and its people.
