Dare mo Korinai

Toshiko appears to have it all, born into an affluent family and blessed with both intelligence and natural talent. However, beneath this polished exterior lies a harrowing reality defined by severe domestic abuse and cutthroat familial politics that systematically dismantle her sense of security. Rather than offering a sanctuary from her privileged yet oppressive upbringing, her home environment serves as the primary source of her trauma, where internal power struggles and cruelty shred any semblance of a normal life. Seeking solace outside the toxic dynamics of her household, Toshiko turns to romantic relationships with women in hopes of finding genuine connection and safety. Tragically, these partnerships fail to provide the refuge she desperately needs, as her lovers prove to be equally detrimental to her well-being. With no safe harbor in either her family life or her romantic entanglements, she remains trapped in a cycle of emotional devastation where every potential source of support ultimately becomes another instrument of her suffering.
