Doku Mushi

A disparate group of strangers awakens to find themselves trapped inside a sealed, abandoned school building. Among them are college students Yumi and Reiji, a cabaret hostess named Akane, an occult-obsessed salaryman called Yukitoshi, a punk factory worker named Toshio, an unemployed pedophile known as Taichi, and a nine-year-old girl named Michika. The desolate structure offers running water but absolutely no food, while a mysterious timer counts down from seven days. Their grim predicament takes a darker turn when the group discovers a cleaver and a hot pot hidden in an upstairs classroom. This chilling arrangement quickly reveals the horrifying intent behind their captivity: they are expected to murder and consume one another to survive the week. In theory, the captives could simply endure the agonizing hunger and wait out the countdown without resorting to violence. However, confined together under extreme psychological pressure with such vastly different backgrounds and moral compasses, maintaining peace proves nearly impossible. As desperation mounts and paranoia sets in, the fragile dynamic among the prisoners begins to fracture, threatening to unleash the nightmare their unseen captors have orchestrated.
