Set on a remote archipelago of four islands far south of Japan, the story unfolds in a world vastly different from modern society. The discovery of anti-gravitons led to the creation of "grash"—revolutionary shoes that allow people to fly using nothing but their own physical strength, without the need for wings or engines. This groundbreaking invention opened up an entirely new realm of human potential and gave rise to Flying Circus, a thrilling competitive sport centered around high-speed aerial dogfight races. The protagonist once dreamed of building a future in this exhilarating sport, but his ambitions were shattered following a devastating defeat. Crushed by the overwhelming loss and burdened by other personal reasons, he withdrew from the skies entirely, leaving his passion behind. His quiet life changes when he meets Haruka Kurashina, a newly arrived transfer student eager to experience flight for herself. As he begins teaching Haruka how to navigate the skies, the familiar rush of soaring through the air slowly reignites the spark he thought was extinguished forever. Inspired by her enthusiasm and his own reawakened drive, the protagonist resolves to confront his past failures and steps back into the competitive world of Flying Circus.
