Kage no Kyoutei Majutsushi: Munou da to Omowareteita Otoko, Jitsu wa Saikyou no Gunshi datta

Leon has long been dismissed as the kingdom’s most incompetent Court Magician, a man whose magical abilities are considered entirely worthless. When his repeated absences finally exhaust the patience of his superiors, he is subjected to a harsh punishment: immediate deployment to the front lines of a brutal war. It is meant to be a death sentence for a supposedly useless mage. However, this forced exile to the battlefield becomes the catalyst that shatters his carefully maintained facade. When the Third Princess, Sicily, finds herself in mortal peril during the conflict, Leon acts. Discarding the guise of a bumbling failure, he unleashes the sharp intellect and tactical brilliance he has spent years concealing. Through his quick thinking and hidden capabilities, he manages to save the princess from certain doom, revealing a fraction of his true potential. Inspired by the reform-minded Sicily and recognizing an opportunity to enact real change, Leon makes a pivotal decision. Steeling his resolve, he abandons his life of feigned mediocrity and steps into a new role as a specialized officer. Operating strictly from the shadows, he dedicates himself to becoming the ultimate military strategist—a mastermind who will manipulate the tides of war and control the fate of the kingdom without ever stepping into the light.
