Aku no Taizai: Enbizaka no Shitateya

As the fifth volume in the Aku no Taizai series, this novel centers on Sudou Kayo, a skilled kimono tailor residing in the town of Enbizaka. After losing her cherished family in a devastating fire, Kayo finds that while her physical injuries have healed, the emotional scars remain raw and unrelenting. Amidst her profound grief, she experiences a fateful encounter with a mysterious individual that alters the course of her life, all while hauntingly asking, "How is it? Aren't I... beautiful?" Embodying the Sin of Envy within mothy’s Seven Deadly Sins saga, the narrative explores Kayo’s descent into obsession as she witnesses her beloved consorting with other women. Consumed by jealousy yet unable to confront him directly, she channels her anguish into her craft, shedding silent tears over her work in a tragic display of devotion and despair. Adapted from the original song released on Nico Nico Douga in December 2009, this light novel expands upon the musical source material to deliver a poignant tale of love, loss, and the destructive nature of envy.
