Hiru to Yoru no Oishii Jikan

When his father relocates overseas, high school student Asaoka Mahiru is left without a home and begins living with one of his father’s acquaintances. This arrangement introduces him to Kitagawa Yoruko, a middle-aged novelist who carries herself with complete indifference toward the world around her. Despite sharing a living space with a young man, Yoruko remains entirely unbothered by modesty, casually wandering their shared home without a bra. More frustrating for Mahiru, however, is her outright refusal to eat anything he prepares. Mahiru happens to be a highly skilled cook, eager to prove his culinary abilities. He enthusiastically presents dishes like freshly made omurice, only to be met with Yoruko's blunt dismissal. Her apathy toward both his cooking and his presence creates an unusual domestic tension, as she stubbornly rejects every meal placed before her. Unwilling to accept defeat, Mahiru makes it his personal mission to break through her indifferent exterior and finally get her to enjoy his food. His persistent efforts to win over the reclusive writer set the stage for a unique cohabitation story, leaving one to wonder what will ultimately happen when his dedication collides with her unwavering stubbornness.
