H.P. Lovecraft's The Haunter of the Dark

Set against the atmospheric backdrop of Providence, Rhode Island—author H.P. Lovecraft’s cherished hometown—this narrative unfolds through the personal diaries of its protagonist, young occult enthusiast Robert Blake. From his lodgings on the city's Upper East Side, Blake becomes intensely preoccupied with a looming, disused church situated on Federal Hill, a western quarter inhabited largely by Italian immigrants. Driven by curiosity, his investigations uncover a dark and unsettling history tied to a mysterious sect known as the Church of Starry Wisdom. As Blake delves deeper into the building's past, he learns that the local residents live in deep dread of the structure, believing it to be haunted by a malevolent, primeval entity. This manga volume additionally features an adaptation of Lovecraft's classic short story "Dagon."
