Cheong-Yeon is widely regarded as an academic prodigy, yet beneath his flawless record lies a cold and detached demeanor. When his university applications are jeopardized by a failing character evaluation, he is forced to make an unlikely compromise. To salvage his reputation and secure his college recommendation, he agrees to take on the role of mentor to Su-Han, the school’s most infamous troublemaker. Su-Han is a student defined by apathy, consistently earning failing grades and showing absolutely no drive to improve. While Cheong-Yeon views this arrangement purely as a transactional necessity for his future, Su-Han simply wishes to be left in peace. Their opposing goals inevitably lead to friction as they constantly clash over study habits and fundamental life choices. However, as the two navigate their reluctant partnership, the dynamic between them begins to shift. Through the daily struggles of guiding a student who refuses to be guided, the emotionally distant top scholar starts to uncover something unexpected within himself. In the most unlikely of places, Cheong-Yeon gradually discovers the empathy and genuine emotion he never realized he was missing.
