In Gion, the bustling capital of Japan, a mysterious divine force has ushered in an era of unprecedented prosperity. This enigmatic power exclusively affects young women, transforming them into half-animal beings marked as servants of the gods while granting them extraordinary abilities. Those who can harness this strength become Onmyou, elite warriors tasked with battling malevolent forces. However, when this bestowed power spirals out of control, the afflicted are consumed by it, mutating into monstrous entities known as Orochi—creatures destined to unleash death and devastation upon humanity.
