Neeko wa Tsurai yo

At twenty-three years old, Niito Nemuko—affectionately known by her nickname, Neeko—finds herself navigating a phase of life that feels far more daunting than she ever anticipated. Despite her best efforts, she remains entirely unsuccessful in securing employment. Each passing day serves as a stark reminder of her stagnant situation, leaving her to confront the uncomfortable reality that she has effectively become a NEET, an individual who is not engaged in education, employment, or training. The manga chronicles Neeko’s everyday existence as she grapples with the emotional and social weight of her circumstances. Rather than following a grand adventure, the story focuses intimately on the quiet, often frustrating struggles of young adulthood when traditional milestones remain stubbornly out of reach. Her daily routine becomes a delicate balancing act between the pressure to s쳮d and the persistent difficulty of finding her place in a demanding society. Through this grounded and relatable premise, the narrative explores the internal conflict of a young woman trying to make sense of her identity when the conventional path forward seems blocked. Neeko's journey is one of resilience and self-reflection, offering a candid look at the challenges faced by those who find themselves adrift in the transition to independent adult life.
