Kaka is a remarkably strong girl gifted in combat, bound by an unwavering sense of duty to protect her caretaker and master, Genjou-sama. The kind but physically frail young priest once nearly lost his life saving her from a tiger attack, cementing her devotion to him. When poisoned water begins threatening their peaceful village, Genjou-sama departs for the capital in search of a cure. In his absence, demons ravage their home, burning it to the ground and transforming the villagers under Kaka’s protection into monkeys. Desperate to find her master, Kaka flees the ruins only to discover that a haughty, immensely powerful spirit has taken possession of Genjou-sama’s body as a vessel. She learns a terrifying truth: the human Emperor has been secretly replaced by the evil Demon King, and this spirit has returned with a singular purpose—to restore order to the world. The spirit offers Kaka a straightforward pact. If she accompanies him on his journey to the capital and their mission s쳮ds, he will relinquish the priest's body and retrieve Genjou-sama's soul from the underworld. Faced with impossible stakes, Kaka must decide whether to risk everything alongside this otherworldly force to save both her master and her people.
