Karin and Lisette share a deep history as witches who honed their magical abilities side by side during their formative years. After an extended period of separation, Lisette unexpectedly resurfaces by establishing herself in a forest adjacent to Karin’s territory. Her sudden return is complicated by the fact that she appears to be actively drawing away Karin’s clientele, creating professional tension between the two former companions. Despite this competitive friction, Karin harbors a sincere desire to reconnect with her old friend and bridge the distance that time has created between them. However, any attempt at reconciliation is consistently thwarted by Ruin, Lisette’s young male apprentice who serves as an impassable barrier to Karin’s efforts. This devoted student effectively intercepts Karin before she can reach his mistress, preventing the long-awaited reunion she so desperately seeks. The narrative thus centers on Karin’s emotional struggle as she navigates both the professional rivalry threatening her livelihood and the personal obstacles keeping her from rekindling a cherished bond, all while contending with the enigmatic gatekeeper who stands firmly in her path.
