Senpai to Kanojo

Freshly enrolled in high school, Rika and Monodani begin their search for extracurricular activities to join. Their exploration leads them to the Culture Research Club, a small group managed by two older students. For Rika, this seemingly ordinary encounter marks the start of her first true romantic experience, though it quickly proves to be an entirely one-sided affection. As she navigates the unfamiliar territory of high school romance, Rika finds herself facing a uniquely painful dilemma. The senpai she has fallen for is quietly harboring his own unrequited feelings for someone else, trapping her in a bittersweet chain of longing. She must grapple with the emotional weight of loving someone whose heart is already directed elsewhere, leaving her to wonder how she can possibly reach him. Caught between devotion and heartache, Rika is forced to confront difficult questions about the nature of love itself. She struggles to determine whether sincere effort and unwavering dedication can eventually win over a distracted heart, or if some feelings are simply destined to remain unreturned. Ultimately, she must decide whether to continue pouring her energy into a seemingly impossible romance or find the courage to move forward and open herself up to a different kind of love.
