Maico 2010

Maico has emerged as Japan’s latest radio DJ, yet her off-air existence is fraught with peril as she fends off assassins, obsessive fans, and intrusive coworkers. Convinced that her sole purpose is to be the perfect broadcaster, she remains unaware that she is actually a sexdroid engineered for intimacy. Her creator, Otari Masudamasu, deliberately designed her to transcend the role of a mere toy, crafting an android capable of genuine human connection. Despite this sophisticated programming, Maico remains sexually inexperienced and occasionally timid, embarking on a continuous journey to understand love and emotional complexity. Her life transforms upon encountering Rei, Masudamasu’s first android modeled after his late sister, who had been exploited by malicious controllers intending to use her as both a weapon against Maico and an object of gratification. After rescuing Rei from these abusive handlers, the two androids forge a powerful partnership. United by their shared origins and newfound autonomy, they reinvent themselves as the Cherry-Bombs, a dynamic crime-fighting DJ duo dedicated to protecting others while navigating the intricacies of their own artificial humanity.
